Ross Williams (born 1978) is an internet entrepreneur who founded WhiteLabelDating, international provider of online dating systems that enable partners to set up their own branded online dating sites.
==Biography==
Born on 5 June 1978 in Ascot, Berkshire, United Kingdom. Ross was educated at Stubbington House School until 1990, when he transferred to Reading Blue Coat School, where he studied until 1996. During this time, Ross was a member of the school's Combined Cadet Force Royal Air Forces section, where he learned leadership skills and flying.〔(【引用サイトリンク】first=Ross )
At the age of 18, Ross was selected by the Royal Air Force to apply for an RAF Flying Scholarship, receiving 20 hours of basic flying training tuition. Ross supplemented these funds with his own money to gain his Private Pilots License.〔(【引用サイトリンク】first=Ross )
In September 1996, Williams took a gap year before university and moved to Toronto, Canada to spend a year teaching at the prestigious Royal St.George’s College. It was at this time that Ross became more familiar with the Internet as a tool to keep in touch with friends at home using email, ICQ, AOL and other services.
On returning to the UK in 1997, Ross was accepted to University of Plymouth to study Psychology and French. Despite being offered an RAF Bursary, Ross decided against a career in the Royal Air Force. Ross founded Rawnet Limited (Ross Alex Williams NET), building websites for clients around his university education to generate an income to pay for school.
Upon graduation in 2001, Ross focused on Rawnet full-time. He was joined by his childhood friend Tim Blair〔(【引用サイトリンク】first=Tim )〕 along with university friend Adam Smith, a digital designer,〔(【引用サイトリンク】last=Smith )〕 enabling Ross to focus on sales, marketing and commercial growth of the business. Together, they attracted clients that included Honda, O2, Castrol, Canon and the Williams Formula One Team. Over the next few years, Rawnet grew into a 20-person digital agency, with blue chip clients and growing revenues.
